They now lead the points table with three wins from as many matches. The opening combination of Hazratullah Zazai and Sunil Narine has been a big reason of the team's success till now. However, both the openers failed in the last match.
All-rounder Kieron Pollard took it upon himself to take the team to a big total. Pollard blasted 62 runs from just 26 balls, which included five fours and four sixes. Andre Russell also chipped in with a quickfire 23 which took the team to 183.
It was then left to debutante Al Islam who returned with figures of 4-26 including a hat-trick. Twin strikes from Sunil Narine in the penultimate over also played a huge part in the victory.
For Sylhet Sixers, skipper David Warner would be the main hope with the bat. He is coming off a 47-ball 59 against Chittagong Vikings. Afif Hossain also struck a 28-ball 45 after which Nicholas Pooran continued his good form. Pooran scored 41, backing up his unbeaten 52 and is looking in great touch.
When it comes to the bowling, Taskin Ahmed and Mohammed Irfan from their new ball bowlers while Sandeep Lamichhane brings in his enigmatic spin to the table.
