The best bet for Pakistan in the fifth and final match of the ODI series would be to put England in to bat first and then try to chase whatever the team scores.

In both of the last two matches, Pakistan's batting has taken them to a decent total of around 350, but their bowling has not been able to defend that score. And if they can't defend 350, they can't defend 400 either. Hence, Pakistan must try to bowl first and put the onus of setting the target on England, which might bring about a change in the status quo.

Pakistan scored 340 again in the last match on the back of of a run-a-ball century from Babar Azam. However, Azam did his team more harm than good, as his slow batting did not allow the team to gain the much-required momentum in the beginning.

It was only when Shoaib Malik came on the crease that runs began to flow, but it was a bit too late by then. Tom Curran was the pick of the English bowlers in the fourth ODI and bagged four wickets.

Jason Roy scored yet another authoritative ton. Despite Joe Root's underwhelming performance, the absence of regular skipper Eoin Morgan, ducks from Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes' 71 ensured that the team was successful in chasing the target with three balls to spare.

Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hasnain picked up two wickets each for the visitors and would like to better their figures in the last ODI.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams.

England- Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, Mark Wood

Pakistan- Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Hasnain, Junaid Khan
