Cricket Betting Tips and Match Prediction for Asia Cup 2018 Afghanistan vs Bangladesh
The last match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan was expected to be a hard fought encounter but it was not to be as apart from Shakib Al Hasan, the other players looked quite rusty.
Bangladesh just got a real pasting at the hands of India. Let alone winning, they did not even compete in most of the match and were handed a massive seven-wicket loss. The stand out thing was that their most experienced batsmen in Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim threw their wickets away after getting set. This is something that Bangladesh would have to do away with.
The bowling also needs to be a bit tighter. With captain Mashrafe Mortaza looking the least threatening, they could consider giving the new ball to the slingy Rubel Hossain. Mehidy Hasan would be Bangladesh's trump card with the ball.
Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto having repeatedly failed at the top of the order, it would be interesting to see whether the team persists with them or tries to do something different.
The Afghanistan bowling has always been threatening but the added advantage for them is that their batsman are giving the bowlers enough runs on the board to make a meal out of it. It was Rehmat Shah in one match, Hashmatullah Shahidi in the other. Even skipper Asgar Afghan has given signs of coming back to form. With the ball, the spinning trio of Rashid Khan, Mujibur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi have been getting some help from all-rounder Gulbadin Naib.
Here are the probable playing XIs for both teams.
