After getting beaten all ends up in the tri-series including Australia and Pakistan and following it up with a 0-5 pasting against Pakistan, Zimbabwe cricket is in the doldrums. The team management and the employed personnel have to turn things around before it is too late for the cricketing nation.
In the last match, their bowlers put up a gutsy performance after the Zimbabwe batsman settled for 117. Wellington Masakadza and Tendai Chatara did not make life easy for the South African batsmen as they picked up a couple of wickets each. They would be expected to continue their heroics in the second game. With the bat, Zimbabwe's top four in captain Hamilton Masakadza, Solomon Mire, Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor will form the core.
The match will also bring a great opportunity for South African youngsters like Heinrich Klaasen, Christiaan Jonker and Willem Mulder to cement their spot in the team. Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar have also not scored handsomely and would be itching to make massive contributions. With the ball, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi will be assisted by spinner Imran Tahir to form a bowling attack full of variety.
Here are the probable playing XIs for both teams.
