Cricket Betting Tips and Match Prediction - ICC Cricket World Cup - Pakistan v Sri Lanka
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will clash for the 11th match of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup at the County Ground in Bristol.
Both teams have won one and lost one out of their two matches. Pakistan were blown away by the short pitch bowling from West Indies and almost surrendered the game by seven wickets. They then made an inspiring comeback, beating England, who are the firm favorites to win the tournament, by 14 runs.
Likewise, Sri Lanka suffered a one-sided 10-wicket defeat against New Zealand in their first match on Saturday. The Lankans were under the cosh against Afghanistan at one point as well, but fought their way back in the rain-curtailed match. Four wickets from Nuwan Pradeep and three from Lasith Malinga helped them register a 34-run win through DLS method.
Pakistan are the clear favourites as far as the recent head to head record is concerned. The team has beaten The Lions each time in the last five matches. Their most recent win came during the Sri Lanka tour of UAE, where the Men in Green beat Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 103 runs. This was the same series where Pakistan clean swept 5-0, winning all the matches by huge margins.
Although both teams fought back in their last match, the intensity with which Pakistan came out on the field was on the next level, and once they have tasted victory, it will be very difficult for Sri Lanka to buck the tide.
Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:
Pakistan- Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir
Sri Lanka- Lahiru Thirimanne, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana, Nuwan Pradeep, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga
