The 5th match of the ICC Men's T20 WC Qualifier 2019 will be played between Papua New Guinea and Bermuda at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Papua New Guinea come into the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier on the back of poor form. The team ignited a lot of hope among its supporters by remaining unbeaten in the East Asia Pacific sub regional and regional qualifiers to earn their T20 WC Qualifier spot but have since lost 8 ODIs back to back.

Although they are considered to be better placed in the T20 format, losses against Oman and UAE in the warm-up matches will not hold the team in good stead.

Skipper Assad Vala is the mainstay of the team's batting line-up and he would expect to get some support from opener Tony Ura. Among the bowlers, left-arm quick Nosaina Pokana is their x-factor and has shown the makings of a good pace bowler both in the powerplay and at the death.

Bermuda do not have a lot to lose as they take on Papua New Guinea. But, as the team showed by beating USA at the America's regional final, they have a couple of seriously talented players, not least Delray Rawlins who also plies his trade for Sussex.

All-rounder Kamau Leverock, the nephew of Dwayne Leverock, will be the key to the team's fortunes as he can both bowl quick and tonk the ball well. Bascome brothers, Okera Bascome and Onais Bascome, further provide balance to Bermuda.
