Cricket Betting Tips and Match Prediction - India v Australia 2nd ODI
The 2nd match of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Australia's 10-wicket victory over India in the first ODI was only the fifth time in the history of ODIs that India have lost by that margin. The 258-run opening partnership between Aaron Finch and David Warner was also the highest ODI partnership against India.
The Indian bowling, especially Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, who are known for their wicket-taking ability could not penetrate the Australian batting line up, with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne still waiting to come out to bat.
Earlier, after a 100 + run partnership between KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan for the second wicket, the Indian batting suffered a collapse and fell way short of the par score. This has led to various questions popping up which the team management would have to tackle.
The unavailability of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant due to a mild concussion is another thing which will play a role in India's selection. KL Rahul is expected to retain his place in the XI as he can also don the wicketkeeping gloves, but will possibly bat at No. 4.
Virat Kohli is expected to be back at number three. The team can choose between one of Shivam Dube and Kedar Jadhav to play at number six. There is also a possibility of Yuzvendra Chahal coming in place of Shardul Thakur.
The Aussies are not likely to make any changes to their playing XI as they proved to be a well-oiled unit in the opening encounter.
Skipper Aaron Finch said in the post-match conference that Australia are expecting India to bounce back at Rajkot, and that's quite likely.
Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:
India - Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kedar Jadhav/Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah
Australia - David Warner, Aaron Finch, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa
