The 2nd ODI between India and Australia was a great advertisement for ODI cricket despite not being a very high scoring game. The pendulum kept swinging and the match was ultimately decided in the last over.

Although Australia fell shot by eight runs, they can take a lot of positives from the match. The Aussies were not expected to run India this close in their backyard. The way, especially their bowling, has stepped up to the plate, they certainly look like coming into their own before the World Cup.

Batting first, India lost opener Rohit Sharma early. After scoring 20+ Shikhar Dhawan played a loose short and was dismissed by Glenn Maxwell. Virat Kohli and Vijay Shankar then forged a good partnership but Shankar was unfortunately run out. The run-out was followed by a couple of quick wickets after which Ravi Jadeja stuck around with Kohli to take India's score to 250.

Almost all of Australia's bowlers have been bowling well but it was Pat Cummins who was the pick of the bowlers and bagged four wickets after conceding just 29 runs.

In reply, Australia were well on their way to chase the target at 83 for no loss at one point. However, wickets kept coming at regular intervals. It was first Peter Handscomb and then Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey whose partnership raised hopes to take Australia over the line.

But, as always, Jasprit Bumrah picked up a couple of wickets in the 46th over to turn the match around. He was extremely economical and gave away just 29 runs. Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets and remains India's trump card in the upcoming matches.

Let's have a look at the predicted playing XI of both teams.
