On the whole, Quetta Gladiators have been right on the money and have already qualified for the playoffs with seven wins from nine matches. They are two points ahead of Peshawar Zalmi who are at the second spot. Karachi Kings will have an advantage in the sense that the match will be played at their home ground.
Quetta Gladiators brought in Usman Shinwari in place of Mohammed Amir in the last match. However, their overseas bowling pick Aaron Summers failed to make a mark. This can mean the return of Mohammad Amir which gives the side an opportunity to play another overseas batsman.
Liam Livingstone scored a half-century in the last match as he ended as the top-scorer for Karachi Kings for the second consecutive time. He has three half-centuries in the tournament while Babar Azam and Colin Ingram have scored more than 200 runs.
Among the bowlers, Usman Shinwari made a mark on his comeback, taking a four-wicket haul. However, Mohammed Amir remains their leading wicket-taker.
Ahmed Shehzad has been promoted to open the batting along with Shane Watson for Quetta Gladiators and both have clicked. Shahzad has scored back to back half-centuries while Watson is the leading run-scorer of PSL. Sohail Tanvir is their frontline bowler.
