Cricket Betting Tips and Match Prediction- South Africa v Pakistan 5th ODI
With both South Africa and Pakistan level at 2-2, the series is wonderfully set up for the last match on January 30.
The 4th ODI was a bit of a let down in the series which has been so keenly contested till now. South Africa looked out of sorts as the ball stopped a bit on the Wanderers pitch. Other than half-centuries from opener Hashim Amla and skipper Faf du Plessis, there was absolutely no other Proteas batsman who stood up and the team folded up for just 164
Usman Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he fell just one short of a fiver. Shaheen Afridi knocked down two top wickets while Shadab Khan helped to clean up the tail.
In reply, Pakistan got to the total in a canter with opener Imam Ul Haq getting dismissed for 71 after the scores were leveled. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam played good hands as the team reached the target in just about 30 overs.
This was the first time when South Africa lost a pink ODI. The ODI is played to raise money to spread awareness about breast cancer.
Pakistan's full time skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has been banned by the ICC for four matches and he would miss the remainder of the tour. Veteran batsman Shoaib Malik would lead the team in his place.
Interestingly, Malik got to know about the decision only when he reached the ground at Johannesburg. It is notable that his cool and collected personality brings a sense of calm to the entire team.
The series will be on the line as the two ODI powerhouses clash against each other at Cape Town in the decider.
