India would be brimming with confidence after their dominating nine-wicket victory over Pakistan in the last game. Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are in sensational form. The middle order comprising of Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav has not been tested as much.
The team might look play KL Rahul in this match possibly at the expense of Rayudu. In the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah might be rested and two of Siddharth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed and Deepak Chahar are expected to get a game.
Afghanistan have every reason to consider themselves unfortunate as they missed the bus by a very small margin against both Pakistan and Bangladesh. Had they bowled a tight last over against Pakistan or played Mustafizur Rahman a little better in the last game, things could have been completely different.
As for this game, Rehmat Shah, Inshallah Jamat and Hashmatullah Shahidi will be their main batsmen while the spinning trio of Rashid Khan, Mujibur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi will lead the bowling attack.
Here are the probable playing XIs for both teams.
Afghanistan- Mohammad Shahzad (wk), Ihsanullah Janat, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan (c), Mohammad Nabi, Samiullah Shenwari, Gulbadin Naib, Rashid Khan, Aftab Alam, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
India -Manish Pandey, Ambati Rayudu, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni (c,wk), Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav/Deepak Chahar, Siddarth Kaul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Khaleel Ahmed
