The next south group match of the Vitality Blast T20 2019 will be played between Middlesex and Surrey at Lord's in London.

Middlesex are one of the top teams in the south group points table of the Vitality Blast and are placed at the third spot with four wins and two losses from six games. Middlesex are one of the few teams to have no rained-off match, as a result of which, the team is with eight points and a net run rate of +0.754.

Surrey are at the second last place in the tally with one win and four losses from six matches. They had one match abandoned because of which the team has three points and a net from rate of -0.356.

Surrey played their last match against Somerset which they lost by eight wickets. Batting first, Surrey piled up 203 runs on the board on the back of a half-century from skipper Aaron Finch, another half-century from Sam Curran and a useful 37 from Ollie Pope.

However, their bowlers let them down as apart from Imran Tahir who bowled at an economy of 7.75 and picked up one wicket, all other bowlers went for 10 or more runs per over. As a result, Somerset chased down the total in imperious fashion with eight balls remaining.

Interestingly, Middlesex's last match was also again Somerset which the team won by 35 runs. Dawid Malan and AB de Villiers were the stars for the team with the bat, both scoring half-centuries, while Nathan Sowter stood out with the ball with a four-wicket haul.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:

Middlesex- Paul Stirling, Dawid Malan, Stephen Eskinazi, AB de Villiers, Eoin Morgan, John Simpson, Toby Roland-Jones, Tom Helm, Nathan Sowter, Steven Finn, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Surrey- Aaron Finch, Will Jacks, Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, Jamie Smith, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Jordan Clark, Rikki Clarke, Gareth Batty, Imran Tahir
