On the contrary, Windies are at the ninth spot but they will be boosted by the return of Chris Gayle who would be playing ODI cricket after a long time and it would be interesting to see his fitness level to sustain 100 overs on the field. He will open the batting along with either of Evin Lewis or Shai Hope.
While Evin Lewis has been in good form in the Bangladesh Premier League, Shai Hope has gone to another level in the last year or so and has been the most successful batsman for Windies. The team also has the batting talent of Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran who slot in the middle order.
Among the bowlers, skipper Jason Holder would be a vital cog in the team while Kemar Roach would like to continue his Test form. Spinners Ashley Nurse and Devendra Bishoo are expected to find a place in the side while Oshane Thomas with his raw pace would be their x-factor.
England would welcome back skipper Eoin Morgan. The headache for them would be to pick the opening combination out of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Alex Hales.
Among the bowlers, Tom Curran is expected to make a comeback in place of the injured Olly Stone. Mark Wood and Chris Woakes are also expected to be a part of the playing XI while spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali will give balance to the side.
England are certainly the favourites to win the ODIs but take Windies lightly at your own peril.
