Cricket Betting Tips and Match Predictions BBL - Adelaide Strikers v Hobart Hurricanes

Peter Siddle

Defending Champions Adelaide Strikers have won four matches out of eight and it would be difficult for them to get one over on Hobart Hurricanes who have established their dominance over this season's BBL and have won seven of their eight matches.

The Strikers would be buoyed by the return of international players Alex Carey and Billy Stanlake. However, Peter Siddle and Travis Head have now joined the Australian squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka. If Carey dons the gloves, it would mean that Harry Nielsen would have to sit out.

Adelaide Strikers can take some confidence from the last time both teams met which was in the final of the last year's BBL. Jake Weatherald shone for the team then with a 70-ball 115. He already has 222 runs in this season, which includes two half-centuries.

Stand-in captain Colin Ingram is also coming on the back of scores of 57 against Melbourne Stars and 48 against Sydney Thunder. With the ball, Rashid Khan is unarguably their best bowler who has 13 wickets at an economy of under five.

Hobart Hurricanes have been the least affected by the international players coming and going out of the BBL. The Hurricanes have been very consistent with their playing XI since the beginning.

D'Arcy Short is their highest run-scorer who has 368 runs. Matthew Wade has also been exceptional. George Bailey starred in the last match with a 39-ball 68 for the team. James Faulkner recently grabbed the headlines after hitting two sixes and a four on the first three balls in the win against Perth Scorchers. He will assist Riley Meredith and Jofra Archer with the ball.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XIs of both teams.
