The two teams have already met in this season when Hobart Hurricanes dwarfed Perth Scorchers as per expectations.
The Scorchers have recovered from their initial losing streak and have won both of their last two matches but the team would need to continue their winning run as they have won only three out of eight matches.
The team has been badly hit by the absence of international stars like Mitchell Marsh, Jhye Richardson, Jason Behrendorff and Mitchell Marsh who have been drafted into the Australian ODI squad.
After Ashton Turner was released from the squad, he made a mark with a 60-run knock to take his team over the line against Sydney Sixers. He now has scores of 60*, 47, 43* and 60 in his last four matches. Cameron Bancroft has also gave signs of coming into form. He smashed 59 against Melbourne Stars and backed it up with a 61-ball 87.
With the ball, Andrew Tye has picked up 10 wickets but it is Nathan Coulter-Nile who has been a bit disappointing till now.
Matthew Wade and D'Arcy Short have done the bulk of the scoring for Hobart Hurricanes. Short scored an unbeaten 96 from just 57 balls in the last match. This was his fourth half-century from just seven innings.
Wade has also scored 231 runs while Ben McDermott and George Bailey have struck a half-century each. Riley Meredith has bowled well and has got good support from James Faulkner and Jofra Archer.
