In the lower middle order, Muhammad Farooq came out with a sizzling cameo of 24 off 9 balls to take his team home on the 3rd ball of the 20th over as Deccan Gladiators won the match by 4 wickets.

Maratha Arabians won their last fixture against Bangla Tigers by 7 wickets. Maratha Arabians won the toss and elected to field first. Sagar Kalyan looked in good touch and he played some good looking shots for his 30 run knock. The rest of the middle order batters could not dominate the Maratha Arabians bowling attack and lost wickets when it mattered the most. Ameer Hamza made 34 off 31 balls but his innings was not enough to take Bangla Tigers to a safe total as they were restricted to 105 for 8 in 20 overs. Chasing 105, Maratha Arabians lost 3 wickets early on in the innings including the likes of their skipper Jiju Janardhanan and Mohammad Afzal. After the first 3 wickets fell, Usman Khan and Tanveer Junaid in the middle order played sensible knocks to take their team home comfortably in the 12th over with 7 wickets in hand.
