In line with Murphy's law, almost everything that could have gone wrong for South Africa has gone wrong in their World Cup campaign till now.

The Proteas were looking in good rhythm in ODIs and started their World Cup campaign with a big win over Sri Lanka but as soon as the main event began, they seem to have lost their way. They have certainly not been helped by injuries to their lead men in Dale Steyn and Lungi Ngidi. Hashim Amla also missed one match as a precautionary measure after being hit on the head by Jofra Archer in the opening match of the tournament.

After suffering a massive 104-run loss against England in their first match, South Africa could not get the better of Bangladesh on Sunday as well. In their third encounter, they were blown away by some quality bowling from India and conceded a six-wicket defeat.

Although West Indies lost their last match against Australia, they are better placed to win this match. With Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis opening the batting, they have the firepower of Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer and Andre Russell to follow which helps them to post big totals on a regular basis.

Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell and Andre Russell have shown in the first couple of matches, what they are capable of with the ball, especially with the array of short pitched balls that the trio has dished out.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:

South Africa- Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Jean-Paul Duminy, Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Tabraiz Shamsi/Dwaine Pretorius

West Indies- Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Jason Holder, Carlos Brathwaite, Ashley Nurse, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas
