Kings XI Punjab looks a balanced unit this year and with a great mix of experience and youth - Nicolas Pooran and Chris Gayle could be the most exciting pairing in the IPL 2019 – who would want to bowl at them?! Like last year, they could win nearly half of their matches but not make the playoffs.

Place – won’t make the playoffs

Kolkata Knight Riders

Team Squad - Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Shivam Mavi, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Carlos Brathwaite, Lockie Ferguson, Joe Denly, Harry Gurney, Nikhil Naik, Shrikant Mundhe, Prithvi Raj Yarra, Anrich Nortje.

Lots of changes again in the squad after a disappointing 2018 season and again, the coaches will have to work hard to get this squad to gel quickly. Some outstanding individual talent – watch out for Joe Denly and Harry Gurney from England.

Delhi Capitals

Team Squad - Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Rahul Tewatia, Jayant Yadav, Manjot Kalra, Colin Munro, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Sandeep Lamichhane, Trent Boult, Shikhar Dhawan, Colin Ingram, Axar Patel, Hanuma Vihari, Sherfane Rutherford, Ishant Sharma, Keemo Paul, Jalaj Saxena, Ankush Bains, Nathu Singh, Bandaru Ayyappa

Top Wicket Takers – 1) Sandeep Lamichhane,2) Kagiso Rabada 3)Trent Boult

All-rounder - Colin Munro (wickets and runs)

Lots of changes, including a change of name from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals leaves them with a lot to prove this season - Prithvi Shaw was injured on the India tour of Australia, so is not match practiced and there are a few question marks over the balance of the squad. The coaches have a lot of work to do to get this squad firing.

Place – unlikely to make the playoffs
