Jamaica Tallawahs would be itching to get on the field after their big loss against Guyana Amazon Warriors in the last match.
Playing matches on back to back days can get a bit tricky sometimes. Although T20 as a format does not demand too much from players, for the 40 overs that they are on the field, the intensity is of the highest order and playing under so many expectations can certainly take a toll on your body.
Trinbago Knight Riders on the other hand would like to settle scores of a four- wicket defeat in the last match both teams faced off this year. Despite a glitch in the last match, the Jamaica Tallawahs look in a better position to clinch the match. With their batting order in Glenn Phillips, Rovman Powell and Andre Russell firing and Adam Zampa and Imad Wasim creating trouble for the opposition batsmen, they have all the acumen to come out victorious in this match.
Having lost two and won two out of their four matches, this is also a crucial game for TKR. Their opening pair of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine has not clicked till now and this match can be the one. In the middle order, Colin Munro, Brendon Mccullum and Darren Bravo have been in scintillating form.
TKR dropped Kevon Cooper to include Javon Searles in the team which has further strengthened the balance of the side. With the ball Ali Khan and Fawad Ahmed have been on point. The team also has two experienced bowlers in Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine who have the potential of turning the match around on their own.
All in all, both teams are quite even stevens but Tallawahs have momentum on their side.
Here are the probable playing XIs for both teams.
Jamaica Tallawahs - Glenn Phillips (wk), Kennar Lewis, Andre McCarthy, Rovman Powell, Ross Taylor, Andre Russell (c), Imad Wasim, Steven Jacobs, Krishmar Santokie, Adam Zampa, Oshane Thomas
Trinbago Knight Riders - Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Brendon McCullum, Darren Bravo, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Dwayne Bravo (c), Javon Searles, Ali Khan, Fawad Ahmed, Shannon Gabriel
