Cricket Betting Tips and Match Predictions- New Zealand v Bangladesh 2nd Test
Bangladesh might have lost the first Test by an innings and 52 runs, but make no mistake, they exceeded expectations as three of their batters notched up centuries.
What Bangladesh would mourn is that how cheaply they were folded up in the first innings after being 120-1, following a century from Tamim Iqbal. No other batter could contribute because of which the team had to concede a mammoth first innings lead.
New Zealand gave no chances in their first innings as their top three made sure that the team had to bat only once. Both Jeet Raval and Tom Latham smashed big centuries while Kane Williamson knocked down another milestone by remaining unbeaten on 200.
After Tamim Iqbal's steady 74, Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah braved through spells of quizzing bowling as both just fell short of 150. However, once the new ball was taken, Trent Boult proved too skillful for the Bangladesh lower order.
Bangladesh's bowlers need to be a lot more consistent rather than spraying the ball all over the pitch. However, Bangladesh would go to Wellington for the second Test with a lot more confidence and grit. If they can show some more grit and determination, they certainly possess the ability to run New Zealand close.
Let's have a look at the predicted playing XI of both teams.
New Zealand- Tom Latham, Jeet Raval, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling, Colin de Grandhomme, Todd Astle, Neil Wagner, Tim Southee, Trent Boult
