Cricket Betting Tips and Match Predictions: Rwanda Women vs Kenya Women: Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament, 2021- Match 9
The 9th match of the Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament will be played between Rwanda Women and Kenya Women at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium, Rwanda.
Current Form Kenya Women:
Kenya Women have suffered their first defeat of the tournament at the hands of Namibia Women.
Bowling first, Kenya Women conceded 110 for 6 in 20 overs. Adri Van Der Merve and Sune Wittmann got Namibia off to a flying start. Sune Wittmann especially was the more aggressor of the two. She scored 39 off 26 deliveries and struck 8 fours during her innings. Adri Van Der Merve made 33 off 41 balls. After the opening pair perished, the middle order simply crumbled and collapsed. They went from 65 for 0 to 108 for 6 in no time. In the end, Namibia Women managed to reach 110 for 6 in 20 overs.
Half way through, 110 seemed like an achieveble target for Kenya Women with strong batting lineup.
Queentor Abel continued her form in the tournament and struck 19 off 17 balls up the order. However, her partner Veronica Abuga was dismissed for 2 followed by the dismissal of Margaret Ngoche. Sharon Juma showed intent at number 4 and made 12 runs before being dismissed by Wilka Mwatile. Sarah Wetoto failed to impress as she was dismissed for 5 by Victoria Hamunyela. Hamunyela picked up 4 wickets in the match and rocked the middle order of Kenya Women. In the end, Kenya Women were bundled out for a total of 74, losing the match by 36 runs.
Current Form Rwanda Women:
Rwanda Women defeated Nigeria Women in their last game by a small margin of 6 runs.
Batting first, Rwanda Women got to a total of 109 for 7 in 20 overs. The opening pair collected 27 runs for the first wicket. However, they came at a leisurely pace and Rwanda Women were starving for some acceleration. Henriette Ishimwe at number 3 provided the acceleration needed and smashed 24 off 23 balls. She was given great company by Cathia Uwamahoro who made 17 in 11 balls. The lower middle order could not deliver the cameo that was needed and Rwanda Women slipped to an under par total in their assigned quota of 20 overs.
Chasing 109, Nigeria Women started off cautiously with the opening pair failing to fully utilize the powerplay overs. Blessing Etim at number 3 was also dismissed cheaply. Salome Sunday showed promise for chasing down the total but was dismissed unfortunately at a wrong time. Agatha Obulor fought hard with her knock of 12 but it was not enough as Nigeria Women fell short by just 6 runs.
