The Aces have won three out of the last four encounters between the two teams which includes both matches of this season. Auckland Aces have found some form and have been unbeaten in their last five matches.
They would be boosted by the return of opener Colin Munro who has been shown the door by the New Zealand team for the first two ODIs against Bangladesh. He will start the proceedings for the team along with Glenn Phillips who also has International experience.
They would be backed up by skipper Craig Cachopa in the middle order who is the highest run-getter for the team. Mark Chapman and Daniel Bell-Drummond are the other leading batsmen of the side.
Among the bowlers, Ronnie Hira, Mitchell McClenaghan, William Somerville and Matthew Quinn feature in the lineup. McClenaghan is a very skillful T20 bowler and has picked up 15 wickets from eight matches. He is expected to trouble the Districts' batsmen.
The Districts' batting will depend on George Worker, Dean Foxcroft and captain Tom Bruce. Bruce is one of the highest scoring batsmen of the league and has made 308 runs from nine matches. Dean Foxcroft is also in good touch and has scored three half-centuries.
Ben Wheeler and Seth Rance will show the way with the ball. Adam Milne, with his scary pace, also has the ability to pick up a couple of quick wickets.
