Cricket Betting Tips and Match Predictions: Zimbabwe Men's Domestic Twenty20 competition 2022– Eagles vs Rhinos- Match 7
The 7th match of the Zimbabwe Men's Domestic Twenty20 competition 2022 will take place between Eagles and Rhinos at the Harare Sports Club, Harare, Zimbabwe.
Current Form Rhinos:
Rhinos lost their last match against Mountaineers by a small margin of 2 runs.
Rhinos won the toss and elected to field first. The match was reduced to 19 overs a side due to rain.
The man in form Peter Moor and Kevin Kasuza went back to the hut early on in the innings. Tony Munyonga played a brilliant knock of 49 in 30 balls. His innings featured 6 fours and 1 maximum. A death overs cameo by Shingi Masakadza also helped Mountaineer’s cause. Masakadza struck 22 in just 10 deliveries to help Mountaineers get past the 140 run mark to get to a total of 143 for 6 in 20 overs.
Chasing 143, Rhinos lost Prince Masvaure in the second over of their innings. He was dismissed by Nyauchi at 1. Post his dismissal, Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Nyasha Mayavo played supremely and found gaps in the field with utmost ease. Kaitano struck 35 off 24 balls while Mayavo made an impressive 39 off 27 before being cleaned up by Masara. Once the partnership for the second wicket was broken, Mountaineers could sniff a strong chance. Wellington Masakadza bowled beautifully and restricted the batters from scoring big runs. This put run rate pressure on the middle order batsmen. They could not handle it well and lost wickets at regular occasions. The match went right down to the wire in which Rhinos fell short by just two runs.
For Mountaineers, Victor Nyauchi picked up 3 wickets for just 18 runs.
Current Form Eagles:
Eagles lost their last game against Tuskers by a big margin of 20 runs.
Eagles won the toss and elected to field first. Tuskers got off to a shaky start as they the top order was troubled heavily by Brad Evans and Richard Ngarava. Tuskers lost 6 wickets for just 82 runs. Allan Chigoma in the middle order played a vital knock of 32 in 25 balls. Apart from him, useful runs were scored by the late order batters like Ainsley Ndlovu and Steve Chimhamhiwa who made 21 and 22 respectively for their team. On the back of these gritty efforts, Tuskers got to a defendable total of 140 for 9 in 20 overs.
For Eagles, Brad Evans picked up 5 wickets for just 24 runs.
Chasing 140, Eagles started off very well as their openers Wesley Madhevere and Tinashe Kamunhukamwe smashed 23 and 15 runs respectively. However, after their dismissals, the Eagles innings slowed down a little. A couple of wickets fell at regular occasions in the middle overs and Eagles found themselves in trouble at 69 for 5 by the 8th over. Marshall Takodza smashed 21 off 20 balls in the middle order but his innings came at a very slow pace in consideration with the required run rate. In the end, Eagles were bowled out for 120, losing the match by 20 runs.
For Tuskers, Luke Jongwe bowled beautifully and picked up 3 wickets for just 20 runs.
