The 4^th match of the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I Series 2021 will be played between Netherlands and Nepal at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal.

 

Current Form Netherlands:

Netherlands have won their second game of the tournament against Malaysia after losing in the tournament opener against Nepal. Batting first, Netherlands dominated the Malaysian bowlers right from the start. Max O Dowd took some time to settle down but once his eyes were set, he tore the bowlers apart. Smashing an unbeaten 133 in 73 balls, he helped Netherlands reach a huge total of 191 for 2 in 20 overs.

Chasing 191, Malaysia lost early wickets including that of captain Ahmed Faiz. Virandeep Singh played a wonderful knock of 87 in 53 deliveries but he failed to get his team over the line. Malaysia ended up with 176 for 8 on board in 20 overs, losing the match by a margin of 15 runs. Max O Dowd was adjudged man of the match for his incredible performance with the bat.

 

Current Form Nepal:

 

Winning the toss against Malaysia, Nepal decided to field first. Syed Aziz and Anwar Arudin started off very well, especially Aziz who dominated the first spell bowled by Sandip Lamichhane tonking him for a huge six over long on. At this point, Malaysia looked set to reach 150+ in 20 overs. However, the middle order simply fell like a pack of cards and they went from 34 for 1 to 109 all out. It was a dismal batting performance by Malaysian side.

There was no challenge posed to the Nepal side while chasing the total. Both Kushal Bhurtel and Mohammad Asif Sheikh carted the bowlers to all parts of the ground and collected 70 runs in the powerplay overs without losing a wicket. After the powerplay finished, Nepal openers sensibly collected singles and doubles and kept the scoreboard moving. In the end, the hosts chased the total comfortably by 9 wickets with 47 balls to spare. Kushal Bhurtel made an impressive 61 off 41 balls and remained unbeaten to take his team home.
