Live Scores and Stats - ECB Blues v Sharjah Bukhatir XI - Match 13

ECB Blues lost their last match to the strong side of Fujairah Pacific Ventures. Batting first in the game, they lost Aryan Lakra early on in the innings and could not score enough runs in the powerplay. Alishan Sharafu was promoted up the order and he scored a run a ball 21 before he was dismissed by Rohan Mustafa. Ansh Tandon provided backbone to the innings but it was not enough as there was no real momentum throughout the 20 overs. None of the other batsmen impressed the scorers and ECB Blues scored 135 runs in 20 overs.

With the form Fujairah Pacific Ventures are in, it was supposed to be an easy chase. However, ECB Blues picked up the first wicket soon by running Rohan Mustafa out, thanks to a brilliant work in the outfield by Waseem Ahmed. After the first dismissal, Waseem Muhammad and Usman Khan resurrected the innings and stitched a good partnership of 44 runs. Waseem Muhammad scored a fluent 50 runs while Usman Khan made 49 runs off 41 balls. In the end, Fujairah chased the total comfortably in the 19th over.

ECB Blues are quite comfortable at the second position in the points table despite their last loss against the top ranked Fujairah Pacific Ventures. Hopefully, they will regroup and come out good against Sharjah Bukhatir XI in their next game.

Sharjah Bukhatir XI on the other hand have won 2 of their 3 game so far. They won their last fixture against Team Abu Dhabi.

Batting first after winning the toss, Khalid Shah and Renjth Mani gave their team a good start by putting on an opening partnership of 55 runs. After Khalid Shah was trapped LBW in front of the wickets by Paresh Katkar, Fayyaz Ahmed joined Renjth and kept the scoreboard moving. The middle overs could not yield great results for Sharjah Bukhatir XI as they looked to be struggling to get to 150. However, a timely cameo from Umair Ali, that they reached 159 runs in the 20 overs.

Team Abu Dhabi have not chased such a big total in the tournament so far and there was not much expected in their reply. However, Kai Smith lit up some hope by scoring a good looking 44 runs off 39 deliveries. He made an important stand of 58 runs with Soorya Sathish for the 3rd wicket. After they were dismissed, there was no real resistance shown by the other batsmen and they could only manage 128 runs in the end, losing the game by 31 runs. Umair Ali was adjudged man of the match for his great spell of 4 overs giving away just 14 runs and also his batting cameo.

Sharjah Bukhatir XI are looking confident after their last win and the next game against ECB Blues will a be cracker to watch and if you were going to put a bet on it or on the 2021 Grand National at https://www.horsebetting.com/bookmakers/unibet/ you would get some great odds on the runners.
