The 30^th match of the Emirates D20 Tournament will be played between Fujairah Pacific Ventures and Ajman Alubond at the ICC Cricket Academy, Dubai.

Fujairah Pacific Ventures are simply unbeatable in the tournament and are currently the top ranked side. They have not faulted in any of the areas including bowling, fielding and of course batting. Openers Rohan Mustafa and Waseem Muhammad have been providing spectacular starts and middle order is cashing on to those comfortably.

In the last completed game against Dubai Pulse Secure, they won the toss and asked the opposition to bat first. Fujairah Pacific Ventures got early wickets in the form of Rudra Mahadev and Adnaan Khan. After the openers were dismissed, Muhammad Usman and Syed Haider took charge and carefully rotated the strike to keep the score board ticking. They put on 42 runs for the 3^rd wicket and showed some promise in the middle overs. However, after the partnership was broken, Muhammad Hassan came in to bat and there was no real momentum from there on. Muhammad Hassan played a cautious knock of 27 runs at a strike rate of 100. Sabir Rao ripped through the middle and lower order of Dubai and returned with figures of 25 for 5 in his spell. As a result of this bowling effort, Dubai Pulse Secure were reduced by Fujairah to 135 in 20 overs.

The openers of Fujairah Pacific Ventures seemed to be in a hurry to close out the game and started hitting the ball from word go. Waseem Muhammad made 63 off 41 balls and Rohan Mustafa scored 72 off 33 balls. They both remained unbeaten to gift the game to Fujairah Pacific Ventures with 10 wickets to spare.

Fujairah are going into their next fixture against Ajman Alubond on the back of a win and are hot favourites for the match.

 

Ajman Alubond on the other hand have won a thriller against ECB Blues in the game this afternoon. Fielding first, Ajman Alubond bowlers could not find the right lines early on and went for plenty in the first 10 overs. Vriitya Aravind and Fahad Nawaz added 77 runs for the first wicket partnership. After Fahad Nawaz was dismissed, Alishan Sharafu came to the crease and joined Vriitya Aravind. Fall of a wicket did not cause Vriitya to slow down his scoring rate as he played some wonderful shots before running his partner Alishan Sharafu out. Soon, a confusion between Vriitya Aravind and Waheed Ahmed resulted in another run out. This time it was Aravind who had to go. There were as many as 4 run-out dismissals in the innings. Hence, ECB Blues could only reach a total of 151 in 20 overs.

Against a powerful bowling lineup of ECB Blues, it was going to be difficult for Ajman Alubond to chase 150+. Asif Khan scored a quick fire 39 off 23 deliveries and provided a good start to his team. Ali Khan could not impress today and was dismissed by Adhitya Shetty for a score of 11 runs. Abdul Shakoor, Waqas Ali and Nasir Aziz perished soon after to leave Ajman Alubond in real trouble. This is when Amjad Gul stepped up to the occasion and played a blinder. He made 38 runs off 24 deliveries and almost took his team home in the 19^th over. With 8 runs needed off the last over, it out to be very dramatic as Ajman Alubond lost 2 wickets in the over. In the end, Sheraz Piya held his nerve to score a boundary off the last ball to win the game by 1 wicket.
