The 27^th match of the Emirates D20 Tournament will be played between Dubai Pulse Secure and Fujairah Pacific Ventures at the ICC Cricket Academy, Dubai.

Fujairah Pacific Ventures have dominated the tournament by bagging 8 wins out of their 8 matches played. They are currently residing at the top position in points table and are a difficult side to beat.

In their previous outing against Team Abu Dhabi, Fujairah lost the toss and were asked to have a bat first. Both the openers opted for a cautious start owing to the early movement in the pitch. Right before the end of the powerplay, Fujairah Pacific Ventures lost their opener Rohan Mustafa to Navalesh Naidoo. Usman Khan then took the innings forward with the in-form Waseem Muhammad. When Usman perished, the scoreboard showed 72 for 2 in the 11^th over. Post that, Waseem Muhammad provided a phenomenal acceleration to the innings and carted the Abu Dhabi to all parts of the ground. He scored 82 runs off 50 deliveries and ensured that Fujairah got to a good total in 20 overs. They finished with 167 on the board in 20 overs.

Surprisingly enough, Team Abu Dhabi gave a good fight at the beginning of the innings when Midhun Sudhakar Paddhikaddan and Surjith Manohardas put on an impressive stand of 44 runs for the 2^nd wicket. This was the only phase when Team Abu Dhabi threatened to take the game deep against Fujairah Pacific Ventures. Once Midhun Sudhakar fell to Rohan Mustafa, there was a series of dismissals at regular intervals that left Team Abu Dhabi to 65 for 6 at one stage. It was a dismal performance by their middle order and it always looked hard for Team Abu Dhabi to come out of that pothole. In the end, they finished with 123 on the board in 20 overs losing the match by a margin of 44 runs. Maroof Merchant and Hassan Khalid were top performers with the ball taking 3 wickets each for Fujairah Pacific Ventures.

Dubai Pulse Secure on the other hand is coming out fresh after an authoritative win over Team Abu Dhabi in their last match. Fielding first, Omer Farooq provided an early breakthrough for his team by picking up an important wicket of Midhun Sudhakar in the 2^nd ball of the innings. Surjith Manohardas intended to collect as many runs as he could in the powerplay and scored 16 runs before getting dismissed to Nilansh Keswani. Team Abu Dhabi could never recover from this and whenever a partnership looked to be rebuilding, they lost a wicket. It was that kind of a story for their entire innings and Dubai Pulse Secure bowled in the right areas to squeeze the scoring rate further. For them Ali Nasser and Rahul Bhatia both picked up 3 wickets each. Dubai bowled Abu Dhabi out for a small total  68.

Chasing 68 was never going to be a tough task for the batsmen of Dubai Pulse Secure. Shahrukh Sheikh promoted himself to the opening slot for this game. He started well by scoring a boundary over mid on but lost his wicket to a fantastic catch behind the wickets by Ben Wilgross. Adnaan Khan too perished soon leaving the score to 15 for 2. Bilal Cheema and Usman Khan combined together to produce a partnership 35 runs that ensured Dubai of a comfortable victory. Dubai chased the total in the 13^th over with 7 wickets in hand.

The phenomenal win against Team Abu Dhabi would have lifted the spirits of Dubai for their next fixture against the top ranked Fujairah Pacific Ventures.
