Glamorgan v Durham

Match Summary

Glamorgan 343 (Hogan 83, Van der Gugten 77, Wood 3/82)

Durham

Glamorgan were saved by an incredible final wicket stand that saw Van der Gugten make 77 and Hogan 83. The Durham bowlers will rue a couple of missed opportunities as the had control of the first two sessions.

The wickets were shared around, Mark Wood was the pick with 3/82 but they couldn't knock over the last two and who knows how costly will that prove.

Leicestershire v Middlesex

Match Summary

Leicestershire 218 (Azad 43, Harris 3/26)

Middlesex 87/2

Leicestershire had the first use of what looked like a good batting surface. They didn't however make the most of that advantage and limpet to 218ao Azad top-scored with 43 as all of the Middlesex seamers made inroads, Harris the pick with 3/26.

At the close Middlesex were very much in a controlling position at 87/2.

Nottinghamshire v Worcestershire

Match Summary

Nottinghamshire 210 (Hameed 47, Leach 6/96)

Worcestershire 95/3 (Wessels 44*)

Nottinghamshire's batting frailty came back to haunt them again here today. The current lack of form is putting lots of pressure on the bowling attack and who knows how long they can keep firing.

Hameed top-scored with 47 but it was Joe Leach's day as he took 6/96, his 5th five wicket haul of the summer. At the close Worcestershire were 95/3.

Sussex v Derbyshire

Match Summary

Sussex 319/8dec (Jordan 83*, Haines 70, Conners 4/79)

Derbyshire

Sussex had a good day at the beautiful Arundel Castle ground. They won the toss and elected to bat on a flat looking wicket, Haines making 70.

The middle order rather lost their way a little under the pressure of young Conners 4/79.

Bopara, Jordon and Archer saved the innings and by stumps they were in strong position, 319/8.
