Worcestershire v Middlesex

Worcestershire 324/8dec (Mitchell 88, Murtagh 3/95)
Middlesex 311/9dec (Robson 66, Harris 55*, Leach 7/113)
Another day dominated by the batting team. Although nobody made a huge score the contributions made allowed Middlesex to finish the day just about level. Robson (66) was going nicely before he was removed and James Harris's innings was crucial, he finished 55*.
Joe Leach was the pick of the bowlers although he was a little expensive, he would be delighted to have 7 victims. Honours even!
Glamorgan v Derbyshire
Derbyshire 256 (Reece 68, Palladino 58, de Lange 4/81) & 181/3 (Madsen 68, du Plooy 65*) Glamorgan 186 (Carlson 105*, Conners 4/41, Rampaul 4/65)
Kiran Carlson scored a valuable unbeaten to keep his side alive; just. He was left high and dry on 105* giving Derbyshire a lead of 70 on first innings, Conners and Rampaul taking 4 wickets each.
They proceeded then to forge a lead of 251 by the close of play thanks mainly to Madsen (68) and du Plooy (65*.)
Leicestershire v Durham
Match Summary
Leicestershire 324/9dec (Horton 67, Hill 62, Dearden 59, Raine 5/82)
Durham 301 (Lees 123, Eckersley 50, Ackermann 3/60)
Durham fought right back into this match making 301, all out in the last over a small deficit of 23 runs. Wickets were hard to come by; but the Leicestershire bowlers will be pleased to have a lead at the halfway point.
Alex Lees was the star of the show scoring a fantastic (123) century, he forged a strong partnership alongside Ned Eckersley who made 50.
Nottinghamshire v Sussex
Match Summary
Nottinghamshire 295 (Duckett 83, Broad 50, Robinson 4/89) & 76/4 (Slater 53*)
Sussex 269 (van Zyl 56, Ball 8/89)
Sussex fought back into this match with both bat and ball, but they had to fight hard against Jake Ball. Although they gave away a small lead on first innings they'll be pleased with the way they competed on day 2 despite Ball showing his class with 8/89.
Van Zyl top scored for Sussex with 56 but there were other contributions with the bat. Notts will be disappointed to lose four late wickets but Slater remains on 53*.
