BCCI to contribute INR 51 crores to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund
Mr Sourav Ganguly, President, Mr Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary and Office Bearers of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) along with the affiliated state associations on Saturday announced to donate INR 51 crores to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) to contribute towards strengthening the nation’s disaster management capacities and encourage research to combat COVID-19 and protect Indian citizens.
BCB President Nazmul Hassan declares one-time monetary support to Dhaka Premier League cricketers
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan, MP has announced today that cricketers participating in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2019-20 who are not included in the BCB’s Central Contract list for National Cricketers or are not in the BCB’s First Class Player Contract, will receive a one-time amount of BDT 30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Taka) from the Board to support their expenses during the League’s stoppage due the COVID-19 situation in the country.

IPL 2020: Asia Cup window presents outside chance to reschedule tournament
The chances for the IPL to be held in the third week of April look very bleak at the moment. In July-August, there will be monsoon in India. This leaves September as the only alternative, right before the T20 World Cup.
As the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to postpone its meeting to finalise the possible multiple venues of Asia Cup T20 which is supposed to be hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board, it has presented an opportunity for the IPL Governing Council and the BCCI to look for options.

One of England's most successful captains, Nasser Hussain's success was as much a reason of his father's push as his own ability. Hussain, who regards his father as “the single most important influence on my cricket”, was born in Madras (now Chennai) to an Indian father, Jawad (Joe), and English mother, Shireen.
