Cricket World Player of the Week - India Captain Virat Kohli

This weeks’ Cricket World Player of the Week is Indian skipper Virat Kohli. As well as skippering India to a famous win against England this week, he has also reached a personal best of 937 rating points, while reclaiming the top position for batsmen in the MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings after the Trent Bridge Test.
His match winning innings of 97 and 103 have not only helped his team reduce the deficit in the five-match series to 2-1, after winning the third Test by 203 runs, but has also lifted him to the top of the current batting rankings and 11th best ever in terms of batting rating points – a brilliant effort all round - Kohli reclaims top ranking after match-winning effort
Virat Kohli has scored 440 runs in the series so far and, with the timely return to form of the Indian seam bowlers, he looks set to lead India in a remarkable turnaround in the series.
