Cricket World Player of the Week - Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah might have picked up just four wickets in the Oval Test but he delivered one of the most impactful performances of the match.
As the Oval pitch started to go completely flat, almost all cricket experts were in agreement that along with Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah would be the most crucial bowler for India.
The reason was that he almost takes the pitch out of the equation. He is quick through the air and provided a tiny bit of assistance in the air or from the surface, he can even end up being unplayable on tracks as flat as The Oval.
It was Bumrah who dismissed both England openers in the first innings to ensure that England did not take too big a lead. He then delivered when it mattered in the crucial afternoon session on the last day of the Oval Test.
With some reverse swing on offer, Bumrah amped up his pace and bowled thunderbolts close to 90 mph.

The reverse swinging peaches he bowled to Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow turned the game on its head and brought another famous Test victory for India.
Having played four back-to-back matches in a short duration, even somebody as fit as Jasprit Bumrah would ideally want some rest. However, Team India would want one last push from him at the Old Trafford, and knowing Bumrah, he will certainly be up for it.
