Cricket World Player of the Week - Paras Khadka
Not many following international cricket would know Paras Khadka, but for Nepal, a South-east Asian country with a population of 2.93 crores, he is nothing short of a hero.
Nepal has been taken huge strides in international cricket and recently showed their worth in the ICC T20 World Cup Asia - Final. The team is currently competing against Singapore and Zimbabwe in the ongoing Singapore T20I tri-series.
On Saturday, September 28, Khadka slammed an unbeaten 106-run knock against Singapore while chasing a target of 152, taking the team home to a win by 9 wickets with 4 overs remaining.
The Nepal skipper became the first captain to score a century in T20I cricket while chasing. By bringing up the ton in just 49 balls, he also became the fourth fastest Asian batsman to score a T20I century.
Nepal last featured in the ICC T20 World Cup Asia - Final wherein they were beaten by Qatar by 4 wickets, defeated Malaysia by 7 wickets, defeated Kuwait by 7 wickets but were beaten by Singapore by 82 runs.

Prior to that, they had a two-match T20I series against Malaysia where they won both the matches. Paras Khadka was the top-scorer there as well, with 109 runs from two games.
The skipper continues to inspire a generation of Nepalese cricket aspirants.
