Cricket World Player of the Week - Rohit Sharma

India's Rohit Sharma is the Cricket World player of the week for this week.
There have been a lot of terrific performances in the ongoing World Cup both by the batsmen and bowlers. The likes of David Warner, Shakib Al Hasan, Aaron Finch, Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow have been fantastic. So have been Mitchell Starc, Lockie Ferguson, Jofra Archer, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.
But, for the stand out performer, it is hard to look beyond Rohit Sharma who has scored five centuries in a span of just eight innings. The right-hander has notched up three back to back centuries and is still going strong. With potentially two matches still to go, he can very well go on to break the record of most runs in a World Cup edition to get past both Matthew Hayden and Sachin Tendulkar.
Century for Rohit Sharma!
