Cricket World Player of the Week - Rohit Sharma

With his best Test score of 212, Rohit zoomed past Don Bradman's home average of 98.22. At 99.84, his average at home now is just short of 100.
There were chuckles in the room after Rohit Sharma told the reporters in the press conference after day 2 of the third Test in Ranchi that had he not clicked as a Test opener, he knew there were many 'not so good' remarks coming his way.
The 32-year-old has put all the discussions to to rest for the time being. If twin centuries in his first Test as opener were not enough, Sharma raced to his maiden Test double ton in Ranchi after negotiating the new ball when it was doing all sorts of tricks.

Sharma has also become the batsman to hit most sixes in a Test series with 19 maximums, getting past Shimron Hetmyer's previous record of 15.
The opener has the two-Test series against Bangladesh at home to further improve upon his Test average which now looks pretty at 46.9. He will be faced with a tougher challenge when team India tours New Zealand for a two-match Test series in February 2020.
