Deepti, Raut marathon knocks seal 249-run win for India Women

Deepti Sharma and Poonam Raut shared the highest ever partnership in women's cricket with a 320-run stand as India Women went on to register a massive 249-run victory against Ireland Women in Women's Quadrangular Series in Potchefstroom.
After India won the toss and decided to bat first, Deepti (188) and Raut (109) started the innings cautiously with the 50-run opening stand coming in 79 deliveries.
But as the innings progressed, the duo began to step up the accelerator with Deepti bringing her century off 126 deliveries while Raut brought her own milestone off 109 balls.
The 300-run stand between the duo came off 284 deliveries with Deepti going on to record the highest individual score in women's game behind Australia's Belinda Clark, who made 229 against Denmark in 1997. India went on to pile 358 for two in the 50 overs.
In response, Ireland looked never comfortable in the chase and were bowled out for 109 runs with Rajeshwari Gayakawad (4-18) and Shikha Pandey (3-16) sharing seven wickets between them.
India continue to top the table with 19 points from four matches while Ireland are yet to win a game in the series in their four appearances till now.
