Kanchi Veerans got off to horrible start with both openers getting dismissed quite early on. With the score reading 6-2 after just nine balls, Sanjay Yadav stepped up to the plate and had partnerships with Baba Aparajith, RS Mokit Hariharan and Rajagopal Sathish.
Yadav remained unbeaten for 77 from 52 deliveries, going at a strike rate of close to 150 and ensured that Kanchi Veerans have a fighting total on the board. Despite two wickets each from Abhishek Tanwar and Rahil Shah, Kanchi Veerans reached 151 which was a decent total.
Arun Karthik then started off very well for Madurai Panthers. However, he did not receive great support from the other end. Things were looking good for the Panthers when skipper Shijit Chandran was at the crease.
