Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored a competitive 155 – 7 in the conditions with Colin Munro 40 and Shreyas Iyer 45 the leading run scorers and Khaleel Ahmed 3-30 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2-33 the top wicket takers for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In reply, David Warner 51 and Jonny Bairstow 41 got the Sunrisers off to strong start and at 72-0 after 9 overs, the match looked to be ‘in the bag’. However, the sunrisers then lost 10 wickets for 44 runs and were all out for 116 - Kagiso Rabada 4-22, Chris Morris 3-22 and Keemo Paul 3-17 doing the damage with the ball.
