Dhaka Platoon convincingly beat Rangpur Rangers by 61 runs in the BPL today at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka and secure a play-off place in the Tournament later stages.

Result – Dhaka Platoon won by 61 runs

Rangpur Rangers won the toss and decided to bowl against Dhaka Platoon who scored a disappointing 138 – 8 in their 20 Overs with Tamim Iqbal 40 and Shadab Khan 31 top scoring; Mustafizur Rahman 3-34, Taskin Ahmed 3-32 and Mohammad Nabi 2-21 were the pick of the bowlers for Rangpur Rangers.

In reply, Rangpur Rangers made a complete mess of the run chase and at 32-4 there was really no way forward. In the end, they totalled just 84 and lost by 61 runs. Al-Amin 23 top scored and Faheem Ashraf 2-26, Mashrafe Mortaza 2-18,  Shadab Khan 2-14, and Mahedi Hasan 3-13 did the damage with the ball.

Dhaka Platoon qualify for the play-offs.
