In the 8^th match of the BPL, played today at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka Platoon beat Sylhet Thunder by 24 runs mainly thanks to some great batting from Anamul Haque 62, Tamim Iqbal 31 and Thisara Perera 22* and top bowling from Mashrafe Mortaza 2-29 and Hasan Mahmud 2-24.

Sylhet Thunder won the toss and decided to field and Dhaka Platoon took full advantage, scoring a competitive 182-4 in their 20 Overs – Anamul Haque 62, Tamim Iqbal 31 and Thisara Perera 22* the top run getters and Mosaddek Hossain 1-16 the pick of the bowlers for Sylhet Thunder.

In reply, Sylhet Thunder never really got going and lost wickets regularly reaching 158-7 in their 20 overs with Mosaddek Hossain top scoring with an unbeaten 60* - Mashrafe Mortaza 2-29 and Hasan Mahmud 2-24 were the stars with the ball for Dhaka Platoon.
