Australia claimed a 2-0 series win over India after the fourth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground was drawn with the tourists batting through the final day to reach 252 for seven.

India batted confidently for much of the day with Murali Vijay hitting 80 and Virat Kohli 46 before they lost four wickets for 16 runs late on.

However, the wickets came too late for Australia to force the win and they were thwarted by Ajinkya Rahane (38 not out) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (20 not out).

Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood all took two wickets and Shane Watson took one.
