Bangladesh Cricket Board XI 294 (Mazid 106) v
England XI 256 (Duckett 60)
Tour game, Chittagong, day two

Haseeb Hameed and Ben Duckett scored fifties but the rest of the batting capitulated to the leg spin of Tanveer Haider as England XI were dismissed for 256 in their first innings ending the tour game against Bangladesh Cricket Board XI in a draw in Chittagong.

England resumed the final day at four for naught. Hameed (57 retired out) and Duckett (60 retired out) looked in good nick. Duckett reached his fifty off 91 deliveries and with the score reading 90 for naught at lunch, he retired out to give others a chance.

Hameed on the other hand scored a patient fifty needing 113 deliveries to reach there and followed his opening partner, retiring out on 57.

Even though Ben Stokes (25) and Joe Root (24) got starts, they failed to carry on as a triple strike from Haider (4-53) reduced England to 139 for four.

Gary Ballance (36 not out) remained unbeaten but was running out of support at the other end and England were eventually dismissed for 256 ending the game in a draw.

The action now shifts to the Test series with the first game scheduled to be played between 20th and 24th October in Chittagong.
