Adam Hose scored a valiant 76 run knock while Grant Elliott contributed with an unbeaten 45 as Warwickshire chased down 175 against Lancashire in 19.4 overs with five wickets in hand in the North Group Natwest T20 Blast clash in Birmingham.

Chasing a total of 175, Warwickshire got off to a worst possible start, losing Ed Pollock (2) in the second over and Ian Bell (6) in the following over.

Hose (76) and Sam Hain (22) scored five boundaries and two sixes between them to take the score to 57 for two at the end of the powerplay.

Even though, Hain fell, Hose carried on and completed a 29 ball fifty and by the end of the 15 overs, Warwickshire were played 137 for three, needing another 38 to win.

Lancashire made a brief comeback with the wickets of Hose and Colin de Grandhomme (8) but Elliott (45 not out) held his nerve and ensured Warwickshire crossed the line with two balls to spare.

Earlier, Jos Buttler (80 not out) was the cornerstone of Lancashire innings as his 43 ball knock helped them post 174 for eight.
