Grant Elliott and Luke Ronchi set a new world record sixth-wicket partnership of 267 to set up a 108-run win for New Zealand over Sri Lanka in the fifth One-Day International in Dunedin.

Elliott hit 104 not out in 96 balls and Ronchi 170 not out in 99 balls as they took New Zealand from 93 for five to a score of 360 for five batting first.

In reply, Tillakaratne Dilshan struck his 20th ODI century, making 116, before Sri Lanka were bowled out for 252 in 43.4 overs.

Trent Boult took four for 44 as the hosts went 3-1 up in the series with two matches to play.
