Elliott's four-wicket haul seals 20-run win for Warwickshire

Grant Elliott and Keith Barker shared seven wickets between them as Warwickshire defended a total of 197 runs against Derbyshire to win the North Group Natwest T20 Blast encounter at Edgbaston by 20 runs.
Derbyshire won the toss and decided to bowl first. Ed Pollock (66) and Sam Hain (34) provided a blistering opening stand of 100 runs in 11 overs. Wayne Madsen (1-38) and Hardus Viljoen (2-48) struck in succession to dent Warwickshire's momentum.
However, Colin de Grandhomme (65 not out) played a majestic 28-ball unbeaten knock that had five apiece of boundaries and sixes while William Porterfield (20 not out) played a brilliant seven-ball cameo to take the total to 197 for four in the 20 overs.
Barker (3-43) managed to dismiss Derbyshire openers Billy Godleman (8) and Matthew Critchley (17) but Luis Reece (33) tried to keep them in the game.
Madsen (16), Alex Hughes (25) and Calum Brodrick (14) all got starts but failed to carry on while Daryn Smith (18 not out) struggled to get going during his 19-ball knock.
Despite, a 12-ball cameo from Viljoen (20), Derbyshire could manage only 177 for nine in the 20 overs. The 20-run win has taken Warwickshire to sixth position in the table.
