Ellyse Perry Makes Successful Return
Ellyse Perry made a successful return from injury by leading a Cricket Australia XI to a nine-wicket win over the touring West Indian Women in a Twenty20 warm-up game in Canberra.
Perry missed the recent One-Day International series against Pakistan as well as one of the Twenty20 Internationals with a knee injury.
Captaining the CA XI, she took one for 14 as the West Indies reached 104 for four from their 20 overs.
Beth Mooney then hit 48 not out and Jess Cameron - also recovering from injury - made 43 not out to seal victory for the home side in just 16.1 overs.
Kara Sutherland took two for 17 and Jemma Barsby one for nine for the Australians.
The two sides meet again on 22nd October before Australia play the West Indies in four Twenty20 and four One-Day Internationals.
The first three of those ODIs count towards the ICC Women's Championship, which is currently jointly led by Australia and the West Indies.
