England have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate for the second One-Day International in a row after their six-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka in the fourth match in Colombo.

They were an over short - just as they were in the third match - and the players were fined 10 per cent of their match fee.

Stand-in captain Eoin Morgan was fined 20 per cent of his match fee.

Morgan was captaining the side because the slow over-rate in the third match was the second such offence under Alastair Cook's leadership in 12 months, which meant Cook was handed a one-match suspension.

Match referee David Boon imposed the fine.
