In reply, Sri Lanka will be disappointed with their batting performance having been, at one stage, 173-1 - Dimuth Karunaratne 83 and Dhananjaya de Silva 73, batting superbly for a second wicket partnership of 142. However, it was downhill from there and Sri Lanka were bowled out, by Adil Rashid 5-49 and Ben Stokes 3-30, for 240, putting on just 67 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
England were 3-0, at the close, leading by 99 runs.
