England had a modest target of 166 set by Sri Lanka to chase down, and looked all set to hand the visitors a 3-0 whitewash, until rain descended at Bristol in the 3rd ODI.
Sri Lanka once again folded under pressure from England quick’s Chris Woakes and David Willey. They took four wickets accounting for Lanka’s top order. Tom Curran then took 4/35 as Sri Lanka were bundled out for just 166. Dasun Shanaka top scored with 48 runs, while Wanindu Hasaranga made 20. England’s could not chase as the rains forced the match to be bandoned saving Sri Lanka from a whitewash.
