The game acted as a dress rehearsal for Sunday's IT20 Vitality Tri-Series final at Chelmsford and Heather Knight's side prepared perfectly with a clinical all-round performance.
New Zealand won the toss and batted first but after captain Suzie Bates departed early only Sophie Devine offered much resistance as the visitors limped to 129.
Off-spinner Dani Hazell impressed with figures of 4-0-21-2 and Katie George took her maiden international wicket but it was Shrubsole who took the acclaim, thanks in part to some fine catching.
England had little trouble knocking the runs off, with Taylor making 51 from 37 balls and Nat Sciver untroubled and undefeated on 39.
Well batted, @Sarah_Taylor30 - a delightful fifty off 35 balls
